We are hiring for an Assistant Manager for a Furniture Store and Warehouse in Garland. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that offers a compensation package of $50k plus annual bonus. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance and a liberal paid time off policy. This position will train at the company's Dallas location for the first 90-days and the hours are 10:00am to 8:00pm 4 days a week. After training the hours will be 10:00am-8:00pm 5 days a week. The business is open seven-(7) days a weeks so you must be flexible to work any 5 days between Monday and Sunday. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and work at least 37 to 50 hours weekly and work 2-3 weekends a month.

The Assistant Manager will oversee the sales floor operations and handle customer related issues in order to ensure the best experience for the customer. The Assistant Manager is also responsible for meeting Sales Floor' metrics and running entire store operations during the absence of the General Manager. This position will manage the sales staff of the store and is responsible for working with the staff within ALL DEPARTMENTS.

Duties:

- Build, coach and lead sales team to meet goals on sales team performance and satisfaction scores. - Maintain Net Profit percentage by focusing on efficiency and productivity of sales floor operations. - Increase revenue a minimum of 10% year over year by executing sales strategies and meeting sales metrics. - Meet showroom cleanliness, safety and presentation scores - Maintain shrinkage and inventory level goals through frontline operations - Enforce compliance of company policies and will be directly responsible for the performance of 5 to 10 sales people. - Provide feedback on Performance logs and performance reviews to the General Manager regarding all sales people.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of Asst. Manager or Manager experience in a retail environment - Ability to work with, coach and motivate a sales staff - High School Diploma or equivalent (some college is a plus) - Excellent communication skills (bilingual Spanish is preferred) - Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
