Raw Material Planning Manager, Wayne, NJ

Six month W2 contract via Kelly Services

Purpose of role:

The Raw Material Planning Manager is responsible for managing the Raw Material Supply Chain for the Auto Supply Chain. This includes managing a staff of four planners who work to balance Supply and Demand while supporting Envelope inventory targets. This role is also responsible for establishing Raw Material Strategies and ensuring they are adhered to.

Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role

  • Manage fluid and packaging inventories to ensure we deliver our IFOT and working capital commitments.
  • Optimize material inventory levels throughout the network through enhanced dashboard and traffic light reports enabling us to easily monitor our BCP and working capital targets.
  • Actively participate in monthly Supply Reviews and the LBM process to ensure we deliver our customer’s expectations.
  • Serve as an AOC team member and actively participate in weekly discussions.
  • Provide leadership and direction to team members in support of BP behaviors and priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and leverage "Best in Class" processes and procedures across functional business partners to improve efficiencies and reliability across the supply chain.
  • Provide continuous feedback and coaching to team members to support their development and improve their performance.
  • Build strong relationships with plant personnel and suppliers to provide greater flexibility and controls to support customer demands and changing business and environmental conditions.
  • Maintains and helps improve the systems and processes that support the supply chain organization including activities relating to MPS, MRP, RCCP and S&OP
  • Develop, deploy and train staff on BP Lubes Planning processes.
  • Ensure MRP runs properly and Master Data is maintained to company specifications.
  • Manage documentation program for BP Lubes Raw Material Planning Department.
  • Represent Planning while working with company Procurement Managers.

Experience & Expertise

  • Minimum of 7 years working knowledge of CPG or similar supply chain operations and associated business practices
