Full Details

Under close supervision, performs a variety of cable assembly operations to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner

Build simple to complex wire cables using standard work documents to a high level of quality and efficiency
Identify wires with use of basic color code sequence
Complete all necessary paperwork relating to the building of cable assemblies
Demonstrate a high level of creativity. Continuously looks for ways to improve and increase quality and efficiency
Complete the assembly of electrical components by means of:
Acceptable processing
Able to do back shell install, crimp, strip, jacket removal, connector loading, lace-tie, solder (to required customer specification), Solder sleeves, install various types of heat shrink, tubing, and woven braid.
Utilize hand tools and automated machines and components in conjunction with customer drawings, parts list, bill of materials, wire diagrams, schematics, tables and work instructions
Lean Manufacturing knowledge
Utilize Lean Manufacturing knowledge to mentor other assemblers as needed
Able to read customer specification sheets to build cables
Set up and use basic hand tools and machines
Participate in first production runs of new products
Responsible for tool inventory
Responsible for work area clean up and work bench organization to 5s standards
Demonstrate knowledge required by Assembler II training

Able to read, write and understand verbal and written instructions and standard work documents in English-language. Able to read English language technical documents, including customer blue prints, wiring diagrams and schematics, manufacturing instructions and training manuals
You must prove proficiency with an 80% and above average score and maintain active status in the below Carlisle IT Technical training course(s):
Carlisle New Hire training
IPC/WHMA-A-620 CIS Certification (All modules)
J-STD-001 CIS Certification (All modules)
Process Specific Hands On Training
Touch-1 Training
Working knowledge of inspection techniques and instruments
Able to work under pressure in meeting time schedules while demonstrating effective decision-making
Able and willing to work overtime are required. Some positions require working a 10- or 12-hour schedule as an essential duty. Work schedule variations due to customer demands are common and should be expected, however, regular 8 hour schedules are typically set as follows:
Day Shift 6:00am-3:30pm
Swing Shift 4:00pm-12:30am

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 6 months as EAI or equivalent
