JOB SUMMARY: Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the following duties Creates Work Order reports to determine items to be gathered and kitted for Preventive Maintenance. Enters parts on Work Order computer records and assigns them to mechanic doing the Preventive Maintenance Kits work Orders for Preventive Maintenance and delivers kits to job site with copy of Work Order. Returns unused parts to proper inventory location and updates maintenance database. Places materials or items on shelves, bins and safety cabinets according to inventory locations in the maintenance database. Keeps stockroom neat and orderly. Conducts a weekly random audit of inventory parts to make sure that computer quantities match those in inventory stockroom. Has working knowledge of spare parts used on production equipment to assist mechanics with selections. Coordinates stockroom operations with other shift tool/inventory attendants. Coordinates stockroom operations with Material Control Expediter Plans stockroom operations with Tool Inventory Supervisor.
