Marketing and Online Product Training

Client is seeking a Channel & Sales Relations Specialist to contribute to the ongoing development of internal E-Learning Portals. As part of the MARCOM Training & Education Team, this position focuses on providing direct support to the Channel and Sales departments by maintaining dynamic communication, managing groups and audiences, promotions, webinars, analytics and reports.

This candidate must have a can-do attitude and be energized in a fast-paced, agile Marketing development environment where change is the only constant. While the primary function of this role is Channel relations, the right candidate will have a willingness to explore and gain experience in other Training & Instructional Design-related activities, such as: developing, facilitating, and delivering product-related, customer-facing assets, Learning Management Systems administration, and other operational aspects of the Training Team.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts, including: Project Managers, Channel Managers, product, marketing, and sales teams
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Works directly with the MARCOM Training Team, and Channel Managers to coordinate communication and reporting
  • Attends required Channel meetings and reports communications to the MARCOM Training Team
  • Assesses Channel's need for training and promotional materials
  • Plan, schedule and track projects, maintaining aggressive deadlines and communicate/ overcome issues/risks/roadblocks in a timely manner, within prescribed intent and plans
  • Conceptualize, create, and execute marketing campaigns related to partner recruitment, retention, education, and growth
  • Generate, deploy, and analyze e-mail campaigns and reporting - working with MARCOM Marketo and social media specialists to implement best practices for external communications
  • Work with internal IT team and external agency to manage partner portal systems backend - maintain database, troubleshoot issues, and lead feature/benefit implementations (experience with SalesForce is a plus)
  • Own key systems of the LMS related to partner engagement. This includes webinar hosting and facilitation, gamification, asset creation, and coordination with Channel and Sales managers
  • Interface with outside agencies and internal design teams to develop creative materials (including videos, banners, graphics, testimonials, etc.) for global use
  • Set up and manage promotional campaigns across various markets in Western Digital LMS systems
  • Drive campaign and content reviews with MARCOM and Legal departments for adherence to brand guidelines and corporate standards and web content designed to maximize engagement and drive enrollment to the universities

Desired Skills and Experience

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in Curriculum, Adult Learning, Training and Development, Learning and Development, or a closely aligned field
  • Marketo expertise is a plus
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience with using or managing an LMS (e.g. Moodle, Canvas Instructure, Cornerstone OnDemand, etc.) a strong plus
  • Understanding of technical writing, editing, and developing learning scripts
  • Demonstrates the ability to logically organize complex information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are an absolute must
  • Strong organizational, accurate record-keeping and critical thinking skills are needed
  • The ability to think abstractly, yet analyze linearly a strong plus
  • Familiarity with modern software such as Marketo, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Adobe Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a larger team, to balance multiple tasks/objectives, and to have high levels of flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others, including team members, supervisors and managers, and to work effectively with employees at all levels across multiple departments
  • Must be able to apply tact when dealing with others
  • Demonstrate initiative and a results-based orientation
  • Must have the ability to collect, interpret, and summarize data

Position Details

  • The position of MARCOM Specialist, Channel & Sales Relations is a full-time, contracted position with a possibility of a permanent, full-time employment
  • Reports to: Manager of Education and Training
