Essential Job Functions:

a— Standing and/or Walking 67-100% of the time.
a— Lifting up to 20 lbs. 67-100% of the time, 21-50 lbs. 34-66% of the time, and 51-100 lbs. 1-33% of the time.
a— Pushing / Pulling up to 25 lbs. 34-66% of the time, and 26-40 lbs. 67-100% of the time.
a— Bending, Squatting/Kneeling, Twisting/Turning, Reaching above the Shoulders, Reaching Outward and Handling/Fingering items 34-66% of the time.
a— Climbing or Crawling 1-33% of the time.
a— Using Small Hand and Power tools or a forceful grip 34-66% of the time.
a— Examine, test, maintain and repair all plant machinery and equipment to assure safe and efficient operations.
a— Perform a variety of duties for preventive maintenance on the production equipment. This may require reading and interpreting equipment manuals.
a— Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts and make adjustments as needed.
a— Disassemble, repair and reassemble equipment, using various tools.
a— Record and log maintenance repairs and inspections.
a— Comply with plant safety regulations
Position Qualification Requirements

Education/Training:
a— High School Diploma or GED required.
a— 5 years industrial mechanical experience and a two year technical degree preferred.
a— Training is provided during the probationary period (60 days for a new hire) by other Maintenance personnel and the plant manager.

Experience:
a— 4+ years Maintenance Manufacturing with experience in electrical, mechanical & PLC’s required, experience with Robotics is a plus.
a— Troubleshooting, Repair & Maintenance of packaging equipment required. This includes press containers, conveying systems, pneumatic and hydraulics.

Skills & Abilities:
a— Must be able to speak, read and understand English and have good communication skills.
a— Must be able follow written/oral directives from the Plant Manager and Supervisors.
a— Must be able to pass the post offer physical and drug test.
a— Ability to follow instructions and company safety rules.
a— Must possess good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize projects.
a— Highly motivated, self-directed worker that is able to work autonomously in a fast paced and often loud production environment.
a— Ability work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds.
a— Knowledge of hand and power tools.
a— Ability to perform mechanical work and troubleshoot.

Physical/Visual Activities or Demands:
a— This position requires walking, kneeling, squatting and bending for the entire shift – a minimum of 8 hours.
a— While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
a— The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
a— Good visual skills are necessary as this employee works in an environment where there are forklifts and hi-lifts moving all day.
a— Hearing is essential for safety.
a— Steel toe shoes are required. As needed, employees may wear safety glasses & gloves.
a— Use of personal tools is required.

Work Environment:
a— This position is in a manufacturing environment processing chemicals into packaging. The environment can be dusty.
a— Personal protection equipment consists of steel toe shoes, safety glasses and gloves.
