Kelly IT has an opening for a Project Lead System Engineer (Network Operations Center) with our client in Clayton, MO

Duration: 6+ months (possible temp to hire)

SUMMARY

  • Lead and maintain the integrity and security of the server systems and establish policies/procedures on system use and services. Evaluate, recommend, design, and implement overall enterprise infrastructure and services to meet the business goals. Act as a subject matter expert for other Systems Engineers.
  • Lead cross functional teams through system processes.
  • Provide technical and strategic support for the server systems and applications residing on these servers.
  • Support end users and monitor system usage/performance.
  • Responsible for backup and recovery of the operating system and third-party applications, file-system management, patching, process automation writing programs, server installation/configuration and ignite configuration.
  • Perform duties for third-party application design, integration, support, installations, and configurations.
  • Interface with business users and stakeholders to determine needs.
  • Act as a resource for resolving complex problems.
  • Act as the go-to person to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Responsible for evaluation, design, and integration of all enhancements or new releases of the system.
  • Identify and implement process/procedural improvements.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Top Skill Sets: Cross-functional Incident Management Experience, Network, Virtualization, SAN, IT Security, Citrix, DBA, and Middleware.
  • Drive incident resolution.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT at Engineer level or higher. ITSM, ITIL framework, (Service Now) Tool.
  • This is for a Weekend Night Shift so the Production Supervisor would be in charge of the last half of the weekend night shift typically Thurs thru Saturday from 7:30pm thru 7:30am each day. There is an every other Wednesday requirement for that shift so its 3 days on, 4 off followed by 4 days on, 3 off. We would likely work this individual on a 4 x 10 schedule each week regardless with most of the 10 hours falling during his team s shift schedule.
