Kelly Services is seeking an experienced HR Generalist/Safety coordinator. Responsible for communicating company policies and procedures to employees, employee on boarding, benefit enrollment, and employee off boarding. Will work directly with the Production Manager to implement and sustain a Safety Committee, safety policy development, and safety training in accordance with federal OSHA standards. Employee record keeping in compliance with Federal, State, and Local labor laws

- Maintain personnel files and recordkeeping in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Communicate company policies & procedures to employees.
o Policy enforcement & documentation.
- Recruiting and staffing logistics in compliance with local, state, and Federal guidelines.
o Assist with coordination of temporary staffing needs.
- Benefit communication and enrollment.
- Employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Assist supervisors and managers with disciplinary counseling of employees.
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to local, state, and federal legal guidelines.
- Work with department managers to prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
o Implement a Safety Committee
- Maintain required safety and health records/files.
- Conduct periodic safety and health walk-through inspections of facilities.
- Direct incident investigation procedures.
- Ensure implementation and updating of required written safety and health programs/plans.
- Coordinate safety training and re-training of all personnel.


- Effective oral and written communication
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office & Access, Crystal reports, Sage100/MAS90, PlantStar
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
o Ability to give and follow both written and verbal instruction
- Diplomacy
o Ability to maintain a fair and impartial mindset in all aspects of employee relations
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- General knowledge of employment laws and practices
- Broad understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
o Valid OSHA training certification
- Strong attention to detail
