Payroll Specialist
Inver Grove Heights

Kelly Financial Resources is seeking a Payroll Specialist to work with one of our clients, a reputable Fortune 100 organization, on a temp-to-hire basis in Inver Grove Heights. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing corporate payroll department and to build a career with a respected industry leader.

As Payroll Specialist, you will:

  • Process bi-weekly payrolls accurately and timely on a multi-state basis.
  • Analyze and validate time off accruals, voluntary and involuntary payroll deductions, new hire information, changes, terminations, bonuses, retirement, etc.
  • Set up garnishments, levies and child support notices as well as process disclosure forms and request vendor payments.
  • Maintain employee direct deposit information.
  • Manage payroll records to ensure compliance, accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop accurate payroll reports on a timely basis.
  • Assist and provide support to employees and supervisors in the automated time keeping system.
  • Ensure all payroll activities are executed in accordance with IRS, state and local regulations and company guidelines.


  • 1-2 years of multi-state payroll processing experience
  • Working knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong focus on detail and customer service
