Full Details

A well known BioTech company looking for a benefit administrator to join the benefits team at their South Lake Union office. The benefits administrator will assist in the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, leave of absence, and perk programs.

Responsibilities
- Main point of contact for employee inquiries responding to benefit questions with a sense of urgency, friendly customer support, compassion and confidentiality.
- Recognize opportunities to optimize current benefit administration processes.
- Manage leave of absence requests and documentation including FMLA, STD, LTD, Company-sponsored parental leave, and workers- compensation.
- Manage the daily administration of benefit enrollments including new hire enrollments and qualifying life event requests.
- Participate with the benefits team on open enrollment.
- Support Arrive transportation program.
- Assist with compliance-related reporting, including non-discrimination tests, ACA reporting, and the annual 401k audit.
- Maintain the internal benefit intranet page with current materials and other helpful benefit and perk tips.
- Partner with the Sr. Benefit Manager on projects including, employee benefit branding and communication, well-being programs, onsite health events, and other projects and programs.
- Various reporting to review employee feedback, benefit surveys, and other benefit program utilization to assist in data-driven decisions and plans for improvement to the company benefit programs.






Requirements

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of HR benefits experience
- Experience with leave of absence program administration
- Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Detail oriented, extremely organized with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with online benefit administration systems and vendor interfaces an asset
- Comfortable with presenting information to groups of employees
- Experience with annual open enrollment process
- Experience with well-being programs or initiatives across multiple sites
- Proficient with Outlook and Excel
- Familiarity with PowerPoint and Smartsheet a plus
