Kelly Services is currently seeking a Development Scientist in Brea, CA to work a contract assignment of 18 months for one of our top clients.  Kelly is a full service workforce solutions provider to 98% of the Fortune 100™ companies. Primary Responsibilities of the Development Scientist includes:

Will be performing experiments as defined and planned by supervisor, reviewing test results for experimental error, determining if additional testing is required, maintaining the laboratory equipment, maintaining well organized laboratory notebooks in compliance with relevant procedures and supporting technologies post-launch to resolve performance and/or quality issues.

  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers may be obtained.
  • Participates in simple process improvement, design change or current product support projects.
  • Writes and executes experimental protocols, analyzes data, summarizes results, reports status of experiments to supervisor and writes associated reports.
  • Provides quality assurance for adherence to technical standards.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures.


  • Good laboratory technique with some analytical expertise.
  • Experience with automated General Chemistry and/or Immunochemistry diagnostic systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with BCI Clinical Chemistry and/or Immunochemistry Diagnostics platforms a plus (DxC, AU, Access, DxI, IMMAGE).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to problem solve is a must.

Education and Experience Requirement of the Development Scientist includes

  • B.S. degree with 0 - 2 years industry laboratory experience.

  • Contract assignment, duration 18 months. 
  • Work schedule: full-time, first shift.
