Accounting Assistant, West Melbourne Florida


Kelly Services is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant for one of our top clients in West Melbourne, Florida.

As an Accounting Assistant placed with Kelly Services, you will serve as an integral member of our client’s accounting and finance team. Primary responsibilities will include assisting the Accounting Manager with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.


Additional Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Process Company invoices for payment.
  • Perform company check runs.
  • Handle accounts receivable functions as required.
  • Maintain company petty cash funds as required.
  • Maintain and operates company mail machine.
  • Perform vendor reconciliations.
  • Verify and process expense reports.
  • Request refund checks, where applicable, from suppliers.
  • Maintain lost discount log.
  • Perform internal financial audits as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical activities, i.e.. check stuffing and filing.




  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Accounting experience required (preferably both A/P and A/R).
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills/ applications knowledge (i.e.. Email, Excel, MS Word etc.) and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of data entry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Works well independently in fast paced, high tech environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to interface with customers and suppliers.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.


Duration: Contract to hire

Working schedule: Monday- Friday 8 am to 5 pm
