Job Duties:
-Manage the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the company Quality Management System (QMS), reporting on the performance of the quality system for review and as the basis for improvement of the quality system
-Maintain Quality Management System documentation:
- Assure that revisions are controlled and issued in accordance with QMS Procedures
- Assure that nonconformances are tracked, processed and reported
- Liaison with all departments to facilitate implementation of QMS changes or improvements
-Manages the internal and external auditing program which includes but not limited to:
- Plan and Schedule system, process and supplier audits
- Training, evaluating and assigning qualified auditors
- Perform systems, process and supplier audits as required
- Assure that system, process and supplier audits are performed per schedule and per any internal requirement
- Facilitates problem solving steps, root cause analysis, corrective actions and improvement to ensure compliance to the Quality Management System requirements.
- Assure that follow up and verification audits are performed and completed as required
-Provide advice and interpretation of the Quality Management System (QMS) to the operational/functional process owners and gain feedback for continual improvement of QMS processes, practices and procedures.
-. Manage the raw material and compound supplier quality development process by:
- Review, investigate, and reach conclusion in resolving non-conforming material issues.
- Use analytical and statistical tools to analyze data, make appropriate recommendations or decisions by using appropriate quality tools (SPC, MSA, Control Plans, FMEAs).
- Facilitate teamwork while performing job related activities with other functioning departments and to ensure effective and timely communication.
-Organize, promote, participate and contribute to companywide quality improvement efforts. Work independently and with project team members in the development of quality control deliverables, flowcharts, draft and final release of Quality Management System documentation.
-Meet the Management Plan $ sales, unit sales and profit objectives
- Establish local practices and procedures for maintaining high standards of quality and system reliability in compliance with ISO 9001: 2000, TS 16949:2002, OE Customer Specific Requirements, Corporate and Sector’s Central Quality policies, procedures and standards.
- To ensure the Quality Management System comply with ISO 9001:2000, TS 16949:2002, OE Customer Specific Requirements and act as liaison with external parties on matters relating to:
- The Quality Management System surveillance and registration audits.
- OE Customer facility certification and audits.

• An associates Degree in Quality Control Technology or Industrial Engineering is required or equivalent combination of education and training. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or Business is preferred.
• Three (3) years experience in an manufacturing environment
• Three year’s experience in audits of Quality Management System as a trained RABOSA- Certified ISO 9001:2002 Lead Auditor with AIAG ISO/TS 16949: Supplier Auditor Certification is preferred.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
• ANSI/SO 17025 American National Standard for General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories
• Demonstrates principals of Quality through effective use of quality tools (histograms, pareto diagram, control charts, cause and effect diagram and etc.
• Analytical thinking and reasoning skills for problem solving and root cause analysis skills
• ISO 19011 Guidelines for quality and/or environmental management systems auditing
• ISO/IEC 17021:2006 Conformity assessment- Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems
• Process Flow Mapping
• Basics of the MIRS production process and basic tire construction requirements.
• Effective communication skills, both written and spoken together with high awareness of DOT requirements and risk management practices surrounding product compliance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team
