Kelly Engineering has a direct hire opening for an Experienced Quality Engineering Technician with field based experience. This position will report to the General Manager and perform Admin and Quality Coordinator duties, such as researching problems with production, working with Customers, etc. Our client is looking for someone with Automotive industry experience, that is able to get hands on to solve the problems. Major Accountabilities Upon direct receipt or delegation, investigate repeatability of reported problems from the field using navigation devices and or vehicles, comparing results to other systems and comparing results to specifications explained by other Team members. With Supervision review, Generate summary reports for presentation to Internal and External customer for the findings related to problem investigations. Knowledge & Skills Technical, academic or other knowledge required Skill Level One or more years experience in Quality, Warranty, or Customer Service Role for Automotive, Software or Electronics products. >= 1 Year Support containment activities, corrective action implementation, running changes and software update processes to address problems. Maintenance of Daily Claim log for area of responsibility. Microsoft Office Suite skills to generate charts and presentation material. Excel Charts / PowerPoint Presentations Experience or Training working with problem solving tools / disciplines such as 8-D, 5-Why, etc. Trained with or without Application Experience Local window person for customers to notify of problems or potential problems, promptly communicating those issues to Management and other Departments. Provide monthly inputs to colleague for incorporation into Monthly Quality Report. Associates Degree or equivalent experience. Internships considered for experience Experience working in a Branch office with Remote Management helpful. Attend local meetings with Tier, OEM customers and affiliate companies as requested to support issues and for learning opportunities. Limited travel to other offices and customer sites both domestic and international.
