Quality Assurance Technician, Plymouth, MN

As a Quality Assurance Technician you will need to be ready to assist team w/ planning and quality activities. Will be prepping docs, to include inspection procedures. Will act as Quality Eng. support for a variety of departments. Looking for someone with experience. Organization and prioritization skills a must. Must be flexible to change priorities. Position will be very fast paced with on the job training. Will not have a lot of reference materials, so needs to be a quick learner. Will take direction from a variety of leads, but ultimately report to Mission Assurance Manager.

This position could become permanent.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Work Location: Plymouth, MN

Projected Duration: 01/22/2018- 07/21/2018

Shift: 8 hour days / 5 days a week

Pay Rate: $22 to $26 an hour, Dependent on Experience

·         Verifies specifications using purchase orders, prints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists.

·         Assist with inspections of purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements.

·         Ability to properly inspect dimensions using measuring devices such as micrometers, gauges, CMM, and calipers.

·         Assist Program Quality Engineer with preparing documentation including code requisitions for procuring material and write incoming inspection procedures

·         Assist PQE with ensuring compliance to contract quality requirements and AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality System processes on development and production programs.

·         Review inspection and acceptance data to assess process capability and product compliance.

·         Assist PQE with planning and implementing Quality activities including writing product inspection plans, initiating material review board actions, resolving nonconforming material issues, and facilitating corrective actions.


·         2 -10 years of Quality Technician experience

·         Minimum Associates Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

·         Must be a US Citizen

·         Experience with Purchase Order, specification and drawing interpretations.

·         Print reading and GD&T experience required.

·         Basic PC skills including knowledge of MS Office products.

·         Experience in a highly-regulated environment is desirable

·         Quality Tools skills (Statistics, DOE, FMEA, MSA)
