ACCOUNTING CLERK NEEDED IN EAST ORLANDO!

Summary:

Candidate will be responsible for various accounting projects – working alongside and communicating with the Project Managers, Working with vendors, and reporting metrics/reports to upper management.

Responsibilities & Skills Needed:

  • Handling Journal entries and budgets, Reconciliations, accounts payables, accounts receivables and adhering to deadlines.
  • Approving Pcard transactions for employees
  • Creating requisitions
  • Submitting invoices
  • Must have the ability to work independently and flexible to change tasks as needed
  • Solid proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).

*Our client utilizes PeopleSoft Financials as their main system. (On-site Training provided once hired / online training through PeopleSoft portal as an employee).

This is a 3-6 month contract only position

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hourly Pay: $15.00/hr.

The Accounting Clerk provides accurate, timely, and reliable professional accounting services to the Facilities and Safety Departments. This includes compiling, inputting and analyzing of financial data.

The duties include:

Monitors/reviews construction contract balances/budget funds.

Process/review Architect/Engineer (A/E) Add services, Change Orders, Pay Application invoices, and Direct Owner Purchase Order’s (DOPO).

Consults in Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) negotiations, analyzes GMP proposals, obtains and maintains subcontractor licenses on file.

Serve as a liaison between contractors and Finance & Accounting (F&A) and provides customer service support to departments and vendors. Also, coordinate with F&A for timely processing of construction invoices and change orders.

Perform the monthly reconciliation of construction projects and process journal entries in PeopleSoft Financials.

Create purchase order requisitions in PeopleSoft Financials for contracts, change orders, amendments, additional services, DOPOs and approves P-Card transactions; performs other duties, as required.

Reviews minor project pay applications and invoices; update the appropriate financial system, as needed to assist with the accounting process.

Preferences:

Experience in Construction Accounting, preferred.

Detail oriented, analytical, problem-solver and follows through.

Ability to understand and follow written and/or oral instructions.

Ability to prioritize and manage time effective and efficiently, ability to adapt to change easily.

Demonstrated proficiency with accounting and spreadsheet software. PeopleSoft experience is a plus Or Strong Excel skills are essential and PeopleSoft and/or query experience is a plus.

Special Conditions:

  • Must have a valid Florida driver’s license     
  • Ability to pay $100 Parking Permit
