Full Details

Purpose: Interact with students, parents, and campus professionals in a courteous manner to deliver information in answer to inquiries about the Residency Determination Service (“RDS”) website and to project a professional image when answering questions about these services administered.

Essential Functions:

  • Communicate information to assist students, parents, and campus professionals regarding the Residency Determination Service (RDS) program from general program overview to detailed student specific instructions.
  • Assist end-users with on-line applications from the RDS website. Resolve problems with navigating the RDS website and assist with connectivity and other browser or online application related issues.
  • Assist colleges and universities with RDS processes and services.
  • Attend training to keep abreast of changes to RDS general procedures and information.
  • Assist management as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Education: Associates degree from an accredited institution REQUIRED

Experience Required:

  • At least 1-2 years of previous customer service experience in a call center

  • Ability to maintain composure and avoid aggressive behavior in very difficult situations
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Basic PC and keyboarding skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to meet and manage customer expectations in a professional and timely manner

Physical Activities/Working Conditions:

  • Extensive work with a PC
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Required to work a minimum of two 11 am to 8 pm shifts Monday through Thursday each week, and/or 9:30 am to 6:30 pm as needed
  • Required to handle a high volume of incoming calls each day (80+)
