Kelly Services is seeking candidates for an Operating Discipline Coordinator opportunity with an industry leading, Fortune 500, global, chemical manufacturing company in Midland, MI!

Person will evaluate the current operations and technical procedures that are related to the Anion-Special Resins-Throx Mod5 control computer and manage the change to references for the new ABB control computer system. With input from project SME’s (subject matter experts), this person will create new procedures for the project operating discipline for the new ABB hardware and software code that will be used for operating and documenting the capital design and implementation. This person should be familiar with work processes such as Electronic Management of Change (EMOC), WebEDMS, Plant Operating Discipline library setup and filing of the new procedures and project documents. This person should be experienced and knowledgeable of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook Email, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS Powerpoint that will be used for the documentation, training and cataloging of the new updated procedures. This person will be also assist the project manager, manufacturing representatives in administrative tasks for scheduling project training with operations and other plant staff and project members.

This is a Long-term project aligned position that is anticipated to end in 24-36 months.

Learning Content Development

  • Write clear communications to team members and project leadership
  • Interview subject matter experts to identify key information and scope of documentation effort
  • Write/edit training procedures with input from SMEs primarily Manufacturing Rep and Operations Rep
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks within the scope of operating discipline for project

Training Development and Support

  • Assist Man rep/ SME in development of training documentation and schedule
  • Assigns appropriate training to the learners and schedule the training sessions
  • Provide accurate training report for determining progress to plan and for final project record.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion to steering team

Administrative Support

  • Develop and Maintain list of procedures for update and creation within the architectural of the plant ODMS
  • Collects data for training and OD migration progress to plan and report to steering team

Competencies recommended

  • Strong ability to build rapport with team members, SMEs, and operations personnel
  • Consistent and clear communication with team members, project leadership and operations personnel
  • Ability to facilitate consensus from multiple SME's input with differing opinions
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule and meet deadlines
  • Work both independently and within a team
